Ms Susan Heron

Susan Heron was appointed Executive Director of the Australian Institute of Management, Victoria and Tasmania in December 2004.

Ms Heron has extensive management experience and corporate leadership across diverse industry sectors, including medical, shipping, finance and higher education.

Ms Heron first joined the AIM board in 1999. In addition to her post as AIM Board Vice President, Susan is Deputy Chairman of the Country Fire Authority, on the board of Museums Victoria and a member of the Finance Industry Consultative Committee. She has worked in a variety of senior management roles including Chief Operating Officer and Head of Strategy at the ANZ Institutional Banking and Executive Director N M Rothschild & Sons (Australia) Ltd.

Ms Heron also had a role as the Special Strategic Advisor Monash University and Chief Operating Officer, Monash Commercial Pty Ltd. working on commercialisation of various aspects of the university.
She also finds time to serve as a member of Women Chiefs of Enterprise International (Victoria) and Egyptology Society of Victoria.
