If you are new to training or need to update your skills in planning and presenting effective training sessions, this course is ideal. The focus is on three areas – individual facilitation, group facilitation and work-based facilitation.
How will this benefit me?
You will learn the theory behind great training and practise by delivering a series of presentations to the group. As a learner among other trainers, you will receive in-session coaching from AIM’s expert trainers and leave the course with a recording of a presentation. You will learn:
• How training differs from presenting
• Techniques to overcoming nerves
• How to clarify your message
• The key skills for trainers
• How to plan and have practice in presenting a skills or theory-based session
• The different learning styles and how to adjust your training delivery
• About group dynamics and developing questioning skills
• How to deal with difficult training situations and/or participants
• How to conduct a training needs analysis
How will this benefit my organisation?
Trainers influence the skill levels and behaviour of large numbers of people in an organisation, so it makes good commercial sense to invest in their development, to make them the best trainers. AIM’s Train the Trainer course is designed to optimise the leverage and resource development that trainers can achieve throughout their organisation. As a result of this course, trainers can also contribute to making their organisation a learning organisation.
