Assessments & Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL is where previous experience or formal study in a particular area of work may be recognised and credited towards a qualification. This process can be used for up to 50% of a Higher Education qualification, or up to 100% of a VET qualification. With RPL you could finish your qualification earlier and ensure that you are only undertaking units that are new and challenging.

Assessment of RPL may involve a workplace visit and/or submission of a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your existing skills, knowledge, competencies and personal attributes. The cost of this is $490.00 per unit.

AIM may also recognise qualifications from other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) or Higher Education providers. If you wish to include units from other organisations in your AIM qualification you are required to provide a certified copy of the Statement of Attainment or Transcript of Results for verification. We will then advise you on whether your existing qualification can be used toward your AIM qualification.
